BJP files complaint against Upamanyu Hazarika for Trespassing
GUWAHATI: The Assam BJP unit filed a police complaint against Supreme Court advocate Upamanyu Hazarika, an Independent candidate in the Lok Sabha election for the Gauhati constituency, on charges of trespassing into one of their election offices and stealing some important document.
The Assam unit of BJP, in the police complaint, alleged that Hazarika entered the party election office premises when no party worker was present and stole some important document.
It is to be mentioned that the complaint comes after Hazarika did a live stream on social media from the BJP election office and said that the empty BJP office portrays the condition of BJP in the state.
The BJP election office is located under Noonmati Police Station area.
An official of Noonmati Police Station said that they will carry out an investigation on the matter soon.
